My name is José Luis Cases. I traded professionally for more than ten years, starting in 2008, and in 2009 I built traderprofesional.com to explain in Spanish what almost nobody was covering here at the time: how to read the market from the inside, with market profile and order flow, instead of chasing indicators. These days I trade casually — saying so plainly matters on a site that recommends tools — though I still follow the markets weekly: every week I publish my analysis with order flow pointers in The Week in the Markets. My day job is product and technology.
That day job: I am CPTO at Rankia, the Spanish-speaking financial community with one million users and 23 years of history, and a three-time fintech founder. My focus now is mostly on AI initiatives: helping organizations become AI-first, and agentic digital product development — which is where PaellaDoc, my AI software project, comes from. The rest of the track record lives on LinkedIn.
That double background — ten-plus years in front of the tape, the DOM and the footprint, plus a career building fintech product — is what carries this site: I know what trading feels like and I know how to build the tools a trader needs. The site you are reading is the third life of this project: the same foundations, brought up to date.
I keep this site with one rule: only write what I would trade with my own money. When I recommend a tool, I also say who it is not for. If you subscribe to something through a link on this site, I earn a commission that costs you nothing; the criteria do not change because of it.
Where to start
Live sessions with real money
Every so often I consider running a live trading session, with real money and the footprint on screen, reading the flow as it happens. If I do, this list hears about it first and gets in free. And this is a commitment: I will not bother you with anything else — no newsletters, no promotions, no "updates". Only the live session notice.
